ANYONE FOR ENTERTAINMENT TRANSCRIPTIONIST?
Yes being a Transcriptionist pays well. I used to be a property consultant also for real estate broker and somebody told me that BPOs accept even older people like me (i'm 52). I used to be an executive secretary so I type fast.
I applied and was accepted as Entertainment Transcriptionist at Peoplesupport. I am happy with this job coz I unlike CSRs in a call center environment, I don't need to talk to people, just transcribes audio files (and entertaining me as well). I am also interested with becoming a Medical Transcriptionist but without any background in medicine, it might be hard so I'm thinking of going to an MT school
because as you said, more pay here.
Also interested in Voice-to-Text or Voice Writing.
For other would-be transcriptionists out there, try entertainment trans as an entry level. they even accept undergrads like me. (Ex-OFWS who are insecure of coming back here can try this out also. it's fun! Work rocks!
